Investors Should Wait Out The Price Volatility In Ethereum

Posted by Joel Baglole on Thursday, July 15, 2021, In : Technical Analysis
Where does cryptocurrency Ethereum (CCC:ETH-USD) go from here?
a circuit board: Another stylized version of the Ethereum logo© Provided by InvestorPlace Another stylized version of the Ethereum logo

With its price now down 50% from its all-time high of $4,132.76 reached in May of this year, the shine has definitely come off the second biggest digital coin after Bitcoin (CCC:BTC-USD).

Ethereum has been struggling to remain above $2,000 per coin in recent weeks as the entire cryptocurrency market experiences extreme volatility.

Many investors have found the ...

7 Speculative Cryptos to Avoid as Focus Shifts to High-Utility Coins

Posted by Thomas Niel on Saturday, June 12, 2021, In : Technical Analysis

Slide 5 of 8: MonaCoin never quite caught on among U.S.-based investors. But, as InvestorPlace's Brenden Rearick broke it down back in April, this Japanese counterpart to Dogecoin was another memecoin name that could have broken out into the mainstream. Unfortunately, it didn't. As seen from its price history, MONA-USD experienced a huge run-up during the last crypto craze, in 2017. But, in 2021? So far this year, it has traded sideways (it trades for around $1.96 today) and thats with the sharp increase of inflows into digital assets. It saw relatively lower levels of losses during the meltdown. Even so, don't take this to mean this is a speculative crypto set to take off anytime soon. Sure, it's been approved by regulators for transactional use in its home market; it has some degree of utility. Still, this usability is more in the novelty sense, as seen with Dogecoin in the U.S. But, it's far from being in the running to supplant Ethereum when it comes to more sophisticated transactions. 8 Tech Stocks That Are Helping to Build the Next Big Thing An enterprising crypto aficionado, with enough capital and clout, could theoretically help turn this into a more substantial force in the blockchain economy. Yet, for now, expect this to remain a more arcane crypto, well-known in Japan, but largely unknown everywhere else.
After last month's meltdown, what lies ahead for the cryptocurrency market? Coins with high utility such as
Cardano (CCC:ADA-USD) and Polygon (CCC:MATIC-USD) have shown more resiliency at the expense of established coins, like Bitcoin (CCC:BTC-USD), and Ethereum (CCC:ETH-USD). And, for more speculative coins? They've attempted to recover as well. But, as the dust continues to settle, their prospects may be weakening. A large factor in the run-up in these names experienced up until the correct...

7 Speculative Cryptos to Avoid as Focus Shifts to High-Utility Coins

Posted by JOSEPH ZOMAS on Saturday, June 12, 2021, In : Technical Analysis

                                       Bitcoin, BTC, blockchain

                            What is Bitcoin (BTC)?

No one expected, in 2009, when the first Bitcoin transaction was completed, that by a few cents its value a dozen years later would exceed $60,000. Yet the leader of cryptocurrencies is gradually consolidating as it becomes an increasingly powerful institutional framework. With it of course "drifts" and the rest of the cryptoassets and combined have achieved a space capitalization of more than $2 trillion...

Cannabis is back on the menu. It seems that even as the meme stock explosion that cooled down the cannabis industry continues to soar, pot can have a rebound and see green once again. The Reddit forces are pushing cannabis stocks amid the AMC (NYSE:AMC) frenzy, and the industry is being lifted by promising support from Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN).

Any crypto investment can be risky, but Dogecoin is riskier.

Dogecoin (DOGE) is many things to many people. For some, it epitomizes everything that's worrying about crypto: A coin that started as a joke now has a market cap that's comparable to large companies with thousands of employees.

For others, it's a curiosity -- a popular, memeable coin that's gone mainstream, ...

Is the dead cat bounce underway for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin?

Posted by Chris Morris on Sunday, May 23, 2021, In : Technical Analysis

So, yeah, it’s a horrible day for cryptocurrency investors. Every major digital currency—from Bitcoin to Dogecoin—is down a staggering amount as China has widened its crackdown on cryptos. (So, for that matter, is Wall Street.) But virtually all of them are also already seeing some sort of recovery.

The question is, are investors (perhaps the HODLers who are the most enthusiastic evangelists for crypto) buying on the low to send their crypto of choice higher...

Twitter and Facebook's latest moderation moves could cost them their immunity

The article that has Twitter trending… isn’t trending on Twitter. It all started on Wednesday with an unconfirmed New York Post article showing allegedly hacked emails from Joe Biden’s son, Hunter. TLDR: the emails are unverified, but unflattering to both Bidens — and they were provided to the NYP by Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani (read: political agenda). Twitter and Facebook limited the article’s distributi...

Save Money or Pay Off Debt?

Posted by Goyo Large on Monday, August 17, 2020, In : Technical Analysis

What we’ll cover:

  • Not all debt is equal, and everyone needs an emergency fund
  • When prioritizing your debts, you might want to consider paying down the higher interest ones first
  • Look at all of your debts and savings/retirement accounts along with the interest rates

It’s the million dollar question. And as a nation of borrowers – mortgages, auto loans, student debt, you name it – prioritizing saving vs. paying off debt is a dilemma for many.

Before we dive in, le...

The Critical Hiring Data You’re Not Collecting

Warren Buffett puts a premium on collecting behavioral data while hiring. Credit: Pete Souza

When you analyze how we initially screen job applicants, something becomes obvious: it is all about what the applicants have done (or said they’ve done), instead of finding out who the people really are.

Think about it. Looking at a resume – 80 percent of which contain misleading statements, and 53 percent of which contain outright lies, according to ERE.net – is little more than looking at ...
